Club Mahindra Membership: A misdemeanor

My experiences with club mahindra membership has been really gruesome. They are quite aggressive and deceptive while making the sales pitch to a potential member, but what comes out later is quite different. Its not about the quality, its about the quantity( No of members Vs total number of rooms they have).
Holidaying is all about mood and undoing the routine. You cant plan your holiday destination an year in advance or even six months in advance. It cant even be a part of your annual routine, where you plan it in the beginning of the calender year. Here with Club mahindra, as a valued and revered member, you would definitely fail to get an accommodation at the desired resort, even during the prescribed season/window of your membership, since that resort would eventually be full and you would fail to get any availability for next 3 months at least. So you would have to book a resort at least 4-5 months in advance. Since they have taken an advance payment from the members, making them wait for their lack of rooms is not at all justified, this also denies the very of privilege that one should have as a member. Club Mahindra expects the members to plan their holidays as per Club Mahindra's choice and convenience, whihc is difficult to digest, since you pay the membership fee. Getting the reservation in your choice of resort during the time frame of your choice is extremely difficult and needs great perseverance. But by that time, you might have run out of patience and have spoil t your holidaying mood. I think Club Mahindra has enrolled too huge a number of members which they cant handle. They have to work on their inventory size( no of rooms/ resorts), else people like me, who have had 2-3 cycles of tough reservation experiences might start fleeing. Its their way of making money. Its our way getting fooled.
